XPOSURE BUSINESS STARTUPS:

The Brothers Hat Shop

“Everything from the Crown on Down” is a phrase of one of Tulsa’s most premier hat shops. The Brothers Hat Shop located in the Historical Greenwood district is a hat shop that not only has some of the newest and nicest dress hats around, but they also have a large array of classy suits and shoes for any occasion. The owner, L “Red” Fields has been in the hat business for over 20 years, although The Brothers Hat Shop has only been open for a little over 2 years. Fields, born and raised in Tulsa, opened his first hat shop back in 1974.

Although he closed that location and entered into another venture, he never lost his love for hats, which is why he returned to the business. “When a man dresses up, the hat makes the tie,” stated Fields. Remembering growing up and being around his father he developed an understanding that when a man looks good, he feels good. “So many men wore hats back when I was growing up, that I developed a love for hats myself,” explained Fields.

The Brothers Hat Shop has assembled a collection of fine gentlemen’s dress hats from some of the most well-respected brand-name manufacturers on the planet like Borsalino, Biltmore, Selentino, Stetson, Dobbs, Scala, Christys’, Bailey, Kangol, and Stacy Adams. . They guarantee 100 percent that you are satisfied with your purchase or you can return it within 30 days.

The Brothers Hat Shop is located in the Greenwood District because Fields understands the importance of community. “Giving back to the community is very important” stated Fields. “Retail business can be slow in the Greenwood District and it will continue to be slow until more retail is brought to the community, but the advantages are great.” Although expansion may be in the near future, moving this location is not.

The Brothers Hat Shop has the hats, suits and shoes especially “For the Man with Something on his Mind.”
